Collettive, djs, vjs, spazi e spazie, amanti della zona chill, sapienti della riduzione del danno, sparpagliatrici di glitter, seminatrici di bassi e infermiere del beat, shekeratrici di culi, sound lovers&composers: questa è una chiamata collettiva alla produzione di materiale audio!
Siamo in costruzione di una traccia poderosa, un tremore che porti i nostri corpi in ascolto!
Desideriamo raccogliere un archivio di bytes/suoni che ci aiuti (ampliaree oltre a molestie) nelle situazioni moleste durante le nostre serate.
Noi siamo una banda di malfatte e malfattorx, siamo la Banda Mutanda e ci troviamo attorno a Torino. Da qualche tempo ci riuniamo in cospirazione per creare spazi di festa e di scambio di saperi attorno al suono, con uno sguardo situato sul queer e sul (de)genere. Da tempo ci interroghiamo, tra le altre cose, su quali possibilità abbiamo per contrastare collettivamente situazioni e modi di fare che non vogliamo ritrovare nei nostri spazi (machismo, sessismo, omo-bi-trans-tuttofobia, razzismo, violazione del consenso, abilismo, classismo, e tutte le altre cose brutte che questo mondo ci tira addosso costantemente).
Il nostro obiettivo non è la sicurezza, ma costruire basi solide e aprire porte di possibilità a modi differenti di stare insieme.
“The dancefloor is a healing place, use it wisely”* dice un visual in una festa chissà dove.
Diffondiamo questa call per costruire un archivio che raccolga tracce musicali con messaggi da poter lanciare nei momenti di festa, per depotenziare, scardinare, sconvolgere e sovvertire le dinamiche.
Perchè se la musica non si spegne allora adorniamoci di chiavette glitterate cariche di bites ardenti di messaggi e suoni che catturano l’attenzione; per riprenderci lo spazio, proteggerci, farci forza e richiamare ad una responsabilizzazione collettiva.
Vogliamo che questi materiali siano poi messi a disposizione di tuttx coloro che fanno djing e organizzano situe, per poterle usare quando lo necessitano. Se il dancefloor si riempie di mani morte, tu non spengere la musica: apri la chiavetta e scarica il caricatore!

Collectives, djs, chill out room lovers, glitter spreaders, bass pushers, ass shakers and sound lovers&composers: we are collectively calling on you to produce audio materials!
We wish to collect a bytes/sounds archive that helps us set the mood of a party and intervene in emergency situations. Powerful tracks, narrating voices, trembles and sounds that will bring our bodies – not only to listen to the music but also to what is happening in the space around us.
We are Banda Mutanda and you can find us around Torino, Italy. We conspire to create parties and spaces to exchange knowledge around sound, all with a queer perspective. We’ve been reflecting for some time on the possibilities we have to collectively and creatively counter situations and behaviours that we don’t want happening in our spaces.
We are not aiming for security, we want to build a solid foundation and open ourselves to different possibilities of being together.
“Thedancefloor is a healing place, use it wisely” says a visual at a party somewhere. We are spreading this call with the aim of creating an archive of tracks that contain messages to be played during parties and subvert these dynamics.
If we are not going to stop the music, let’s adorn ourselves with glittery USBs full of bytes blazing with messages and sounds that capture the attention; to take the space back, protect and support each other, and call for a collective act of mutual responsibilization. We want to make these materials available for all the people who dj, create sounds, organize parties, so that they can be used when needed.
If the dancefloor gets crowded with filthy hands, don’t stop the music: open the usb and press play!
